We were contracted to fabricate a feature steel sculpture for the Duty Free area at Belfast International Airport. The design called for precision-formed sections using 180 x 180 x 8mm mild steel SHS.
We were contracted to fabricate a feature steel sculpture for the Duty Free area at Belfast International Airport. The design called for precision-formed sections using 180 x 180 x 8mm mild steel SHS.
To achieve the required curvature, we designed and built a custom hydraulic press capable of bending each section accurately to the specified radius. Prior to fabrication, we carried out a full site scan of the installation area to ensure the structure would fit seamlessly within the space.
Once the geometry was confirmed, our team fabricated all components in-house before handing them over to OH&M, who carried out the final installation and on-site welding.
The result was a precisely engineered architectural feature — completed to specification, on time, and fabricated for durability and accuracy.
